Stalking 

To improve your timing, practice keeping the racquet in front as if you were going to stop the ball.  Then hit up and across.

If you were to bend your arm with your biceps you’ll feel more force.¬† The angle of your racquet, rather than the trajectory of your swing, will determine the direction of your shot.

“Stalk” the ball with the racquet in front.

    A very nice advise I tried and really helps! But you have to use it with the rule that you follow with your eyes the ball coming out from the racket of your adversary! And aftre the bounce on your side you are very CONCENTRATED!

    In todays training we played tie breaks to 10, whereby each tie break only one side is serving. I tried to apply with my friend Jeff (he loves your advises too), all your advises. BENDING YOUR ARM with the biceps really helps to shorten the preparation and to acquire a very solid shot. We really gain on time so much. Applying this together with the “watching the ball on the whole trajectory” plus in the hitting zone, makes the game much slower mentally and using a shorter preparation its a double time gain.
